Donald Trump is shaking the table again — this time with bold talk of overhauling social services. And while I don’t agree with everything the man says or does, I can’t lie: some of these systems do need to be torn down and rebuilt.

For decades, we’ve watched good people get trapped in bad programs.

Too much red tape. Too many gatekeepers. Too little results.

So when I hear Trump or any leader say they want to disrupt the system, I lean in — because I’ve been on the front lines long enough to know:

Status quo doesn’t serve the people.

Funding without accountability just creates paperwork.

Compassion without structure doesn’t build stability.

Do I agree with every policy idea coming out of Trump’s mouth? No.

But do I think social services need a reckoning?

Absolutely.

Let’s be clear:

I’m not here to play politics — I’m here to get people housed, healed, and whole. If that means disrupting, overhauling, or flipping the table? Count me in.

We need systems that actually work for the people we claim to serve.

And if this shakeup lights a fire under weak agencies, then maybe it’s what we needed.
