As we approach Mother's Day 2026, I find myself reflecting on the incredible women who have shaped not only my journey but the journeys of so many around us. Today, I want to take a moment to honor every mother — whether she leads a boardroom, a household, a classroom, or all three at once.
To the Mothers on Our Team
Behind every thriving organization are people who give more than what's required — and so many of those people are mothers. To the incredible mothers on our team: you show up every day carrying the weight of your families and your professional ambitions with a grace that inspires everyone around you. You answer emails between school pickups, you lead projects while managing bedtime routines, and you pour your hearts into everything you do. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. It is the foundation upon which we build our success.
To the Mothers in Our Community
I want to speak directly to the mothers in our broader community — especially those navigating adversity with unwavering courage. To the mother searching for stable housing while keeping her children's spirits high. To the mother working two jobs to ensure her family has what they need. To the mother rebuilding her life after hardship, showing her children what resilience truly looks like. You are not invisible. Your fight matters, and your love is the most powerful force in your children's lives.
Celebrating Our Beautiful Diversity
Motherhood is universal, yet it is expressed in beautifully diverse ways across every culture. From the abuela who passes down generations of wisdom through her cooking, to the immigrant mother who sacrificed everything to give her children a new beginning, to the foster mother who chose love when biology didn't — every expression of motherhood enriches our world. Our community is stronger because of the mosaic of traditions, languages, and stories that our mothers carry with them. This diversity is not just something we celebrate; it is something we deeply treasure.
A Personal Note from Me
As a leader, I've learned that the qualities that make great mothers — patience, empathy, fierce protectiveness, unconditional love, and the ability to see potential where others see obstacles — are the same qualities that change the world. My own journey has been profoundly shaped by the mothers in my life, and I carry their lessons with me every single day.
This Mother's Day, I encourage each of us to go beyond the flowers and cards. Let's truly see the mothers around us. Let's listen to their stories. Let's support their dreams. And let's build a world that honors their sacrifices — not just on one Sunday in May, but every day of the year.
Happy Mother's Day
To every mother reading this — whether you are celebrated loudly or love quietly from the shadows — know that you are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated. Your love is the heartbeat of our families, our communities, and our future.
